| The DC Gurly Show is the capital’s premiere burlesque troupe fostering an encouraging and supportive community of performers and fans. They are DC’s Queens of tease! The Gurly Show is similar, if not a more free form, to the DC Kings. In fact, it grew out of that local drag king organization. The ”gurls” even still perform with the Kings every month at Phase One.The gurly’s accomplish their mission by supporting and interfacing with the greater DC community, being an open, supportive and safe space for novice and seasoned performers to grow, providing a variety of polished shows, embracing diversity which we reflect in our members, performances and performance venues, networking with and encouraging performers and troupes worldwide, and performing and hosting workshops worldwide.
